SMILE

I finally got one on camera… it’s little but it’s THERE!

We’re having an okay week.

My eldest daughter has Strep though, and she spent much of the weekend prior to me knowing this with Mommy, and a bunch of it with her little sister too. I’m trying not to be nervous, even though no one else has any symptoms of being sick yet. I’m not succeeding at trying though… I’m just down-right scared. I do NOT want to get sick, but more than that, I do NOT want Annabelle to get sick!

Annabelle is stable and everything is fairly uneventful at the moment. We like uneventful… unless of course it is a new-heart event, then bring it on! She has officially, as of Sunday, been on the transplant list for 2 months. Yesterday was her 2 month anniversary of being rapid responsed back to the PICU, put on heart medicine and vapotherm, and 1a status listed.

I’ve told you about Anna Reese in the past… please continue to pray for her and her family as they make some pretty big decisions about her care in the future. Pray for peace and for wisdom and discernment, but most importantly pray for HEALING for both her heart and her lungs!

Also, want to reiterate something I said back around Christmas.

I AM HORRIBLE AT SENDING OUT THANK YOU NOTES!

I sent them out the first few months (albeit late) but after that, I just got overwhelmed. With working, even a reduced schedule, it is just hard to fit a lot else in and NOT take up time with Annabelle and my other kiddos, so thankyou notes have fallen by the wayside. I’m so fearful people will see me ungrateful, so please please please know that I appreciate each card, thought, meal and gift you’ve given. Our family is truly overwhelmed by the kindness of others!

So while I’d still LOVE to have time to get those cards out, please, for now, except this as my heartfelt thanks. We pray God will BLESS you abundantly for the way you’ve let Him bless us through you!

I guarantee you that NOBODY is looking for a thank-you note. I promise. (And if they are, then they need to just… well… never mind. LOL!)

I completely agree with Valerie, we LOVE YOU! And thank you notes should be the LAST thing on your mind!

Ohhh, Annabelle's is such a wonderful gift to receive this morning! She looks like her mommy. 🙂

Help us Hannah! Girl, you should NOT worry about writing thank you notes. You just focus on maintaining sanity and loving Miss Annabelle. Love the smile photo!!

Help prevent strep: Gargle with Listerine…I know is sounds crazy, but every time someone around me gets strep, I use this and seem to avoid catching it. It may be all in my head, but Listerine does have an antiseptic. Don't get the nasty yellow kind. I use vanilla mint.

She is such a sweetie! I love that little smile! :o)

I wouldn't worry about the thank you notes. I tried to send out as many as I could, but I failed miserably. I had a friend offer to help me do them, so I got a lot done that way. Do you have someone who wants to help, but just hasn't had the opportunity? Maybe that person would be a great someone to write thank you's on your behalf.

I think most people understand and don't give to receive a thank you! :o)

Continuing to pray for you and your family. Specifically that the strep stays away!

Praying that no one else gets strep and that heart day will be here soon. How great it is to see her smile. It's as if God is sending you a message through Annabelle with her smiles saying hang in their Momma, I'm in Good Hands.Praying daily , God bless you.Proverbs 3:5,6

    Krista,
I'm glad that you were able to capture that precious smile on camera! She is such a doll!

Will continue to pray that everyone stays strep free and that your daughter recovers quickly.

I wouldn't feel guilty about the "thank you" notes. I think most people understand.

Love the smile. She is so pretty. I can't wait for the summer and we don't have to worry about germs as much. I hear you on the thank you notes. I think about how to express my gratitude all the time. Hang in there. You are doing a fantastic job super mom:)
    sincerely
