Music Monday – Hand in the Hand

I always have such a hard time deciding what song to pick for Music Monday’s.

I had a few in mind that I wanted to do, but then God changed my mind at lunch today.

My sister (waving at Kari Jo) and I were at lunch today at Guidos (our frequently visited pizza place…). We were gabbing away when we both stopped and listened. What song was playing in this normally secular establishment?

“Put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled the waters…”

We both looked and each other and said, “Really?”

We weren’t questioning the point of the song, but just the fact that they were actually playing it in the resturant. We listened some more, and yep, we were right. I declared then and there that it would be my Music Monday song!

So tonight, as I was searching youtube for the version, I found this version from Elvis. Please take a minute to listen to this VERY old song. It has a very relevent message.

Tomorrow is a big day. It’s a big election, and I know there’s much anxiety over the outcome. I know I personally plan to spend much of my evening in prayer and will be praying while I work tomorrow. But, through it all and no matter what happens, please remember to do this:

Take a look at yourself, and you can look at other’s differently, when you put your hand in the hand of the man from galilee!

He stilled the waters. He saved our souls. Surely he can guide the outcoe of this election. NO matter the odds. He can also guide us in the rest of our lives.
