Annabelle is not going to be happy with Mommy on Thursday.
Not happy at all.
Mommy is leaving… for a writer’s conference… for FOUR WHOLE DAYS.

Mommy is a little nervous too. Leaving her baby is not easy.
But Annabelle…
Annabelle loves her Mommy. She likes to cry and scream and throw a fit when Mommy leaves the room for just a minute. She loves her daddy and sisters too… but sometimes she just wants Mommy.

Mommy thinks it will be good for Annabelle though, to spend time with Daddy and sisters and grandma and grandpa.
Annabelle doesn’t agree though. Annabelle decided to get a fun cold to try and scare Mommy into staying.
It almost worked. But Mommy knows it’s just a cold. Mommy is not fooled. Mommy trusts Jesus to take care of Annabelle while she is gone.

Cause Mommy needs a wee bit of a break. She believes that all Mommy’s need breaks from time to time, and she thanks Jesus for allowing her to go and take a break amongst other weird writer people who hear voices and stories in their heads too.
Annabelle will be okay. She just probably won’t think so at first.
Mommy will be okay too. .Even though she’s trying to not worry and to put her trust in Jesus to take care of everything while she is gone.
Mommy and Annabelle appreciate your prayers.

And Mommy’s in-laws probably appreciate your prayers too, because they are coming to stay with Annabelle and her sisters while Mommy is gone, so they’re going to have their hands full dealing with a cranking, missing-Momma Annabelle.
(Um… we don’t have fun at writer’s conferences as all…. as you can tell from the pictures from the 2009 conference, the last one I was able to attend1)
Will be praying for you this week. I LOVE that God allowed you to go on this amazing conference. I hope that you learn so much. I hope that you come back encouraged and with ideas to write more awesome books!
Thanks, Jessica!!! I LOVE that God is allowing me to go to. It was touch and go there for a while, but God is faithful and knows what his children need!
I'm looking forward to meeting you in person, Krista, at long last. And I know who to look for if I get the sudden urge to climb a tree while I'm at the conference. =)

I can't believe the big week is here! I have a feeling Annabelle will be just fine. I'll send up prayers for the in-laws though… 🙂

You deserve this time and God will take care of everything! Perhaps Annabelle will suprise you.
