Like, hard food… Rice Chex to be exact! And she even used her teeth to crunch on them! Granted, she made uck face afterward and promptly wiped it off of her tongue, but that is a HUGE step in her feeding therapy… HUGE I tell you! She was LICKING her food!!!!!!! BY HERSELF!!!!!
Okay, I’m stop screaming for joy at the moment.

Ohhh, congratulations!!! My little nephew has been through three open heart surgeries in his little life and has Down Syndrome…so I understand the excitement over Annabelle putting food up to her mouth. That is a HUGE milestone. Praising God with you!!!
Awesome news! That is such a HUGE step in the feeding. My Logan has major feeding issues as well and I totally get how exciting it is for them to make a step forward. No matter how 'small' to the outside world it's 'HUGE' for them. Way to go Anabelle! Hoping that the feeding keeps moving forward. It's hard work and requires a lot of patience on us mamas part but the victories are way cool!
Woohoo! Way to go, Annabelle!!! (And I think she's saying, "Mom, maybe I can try the honey nut kind next time." LOL, too cute!)
Leyda did much better with crunchy food….gagged like crazy with pudding etc!. We figured she knew crunchy things were in her moth and she knew where they were in her mouth; whereas puddings got everywhere 'on its own'.
