On my list of TTBA (things to blog about… I’m coining a new acronym people! Feel free to use as well, maybe we’ll start a fad, LOL. Like that one!), Anyway, like I was saying, on my list of TTBA is the upcoming ACFW conference.

Not ABOUT it persay, but about preparing for it. If you are not going to ACFW this year, you can take notes, use for a conference you ARE going to, or just laugh at my attempts to prepare. It’s okay. I’m used to being made fun of. I won’t cry… much. *grin*

My series will not run a week though.

It will run for NINE weeks.

What? You don’t think I can blog about conference preperation for nine weeks, five days a week?

Yeah, me neither. What I CAN do is blog every Monday for the next nine weeks, highlighting a different topic on conference preperation each week. I’m no expert mind you. I’ve only been to one ACFW conference and one other one. BUT, I thought maybe a sneak peak at what I’m doing might 1.) entertain you and 2.) help you in your own preperation.

Today, since I’m taking so long to explain my series, I thought I’d start by giving you a blast from the past: links to my blogs about LAST year’s ACFW conference. Two ladies from my local writers group (Joan Hochstetler, published author and owner of Sheaf House publishing, and Esther Gross, fellow pre-published writer) and I took a road trip to Minneapolis, and I had fun doing a photo blog of the trip.

So, especially for you new reflectionsbykrista readers out there, I give you…

  1. Oh, Krista, what a great idea! I'll look forward to getting your insider perspective on the conference! And looking back at your experience from last year!

  2. I look forward to learning through your experiences, Krista!

  3. Can't wait to read them! Great idea!

  4. Whew, I thought you were serious about 9 weeks of prep for ACFW. I would have gotten way to jealous with that much prep! lol. Actually, I'm looking forward to your posts and will know what to look forward to next year! 🙂

  5. Interesting idea. I haven't been to any conferences yet, so this'll be good reading for me 🙂

  6. Yay, I will look forward to your blog posts. I had a wonderful conference last year and am so anxious to go again.

  7. Hey Krista,
this would be very helpful to a newbie like me. 🙂 Looking forward to it!

  8. At least no one commented… "Man, I hate conference prep, can you blog about something different?"

    *grin*

Seriously, don't expect some huge epiphany, but I think its always fun to see what people do to prepare and get tips from those who have gone before. I'd also suggest those who are interested follow the ACFW conference blog tour as well! Lots of great bloggers giving their insight on the ins and outs of conferencing!

But… just remember to stop here too. *grin*
