I told myself I wouldn’t do this, but I’m making an exception today!

Over at The Writer’s Alleys, my post today is on how to deal with/understand your contest result scores, particularly if you didn’t final. I got my Genesis scores back last night, and well, let’s just say I’m less than pleased with them. I got some good feed back though, but also some feedback that wasn’t so great. Working on getting past the goofy stuff and chewing on the “food for thought” stuff.

Anyway, I think the post could also apply to a lot of feedback we get, whether it is a critique on our writing, or a review at our job.

So, please join me today over there and share your thoughts on contest feedback!!

*baby Annabelle update*

Not much to update. She’s still in my belly growing:-) 10 more weeks left though! I’m getting a wee bit nervous… usually I’m getting EXCITED right now but it’s hard, obviously, because I know the road she might have to face when she gets here. As for Momma, besides swollen feet and a back that isn’t liking the extra weight, I’m hanging on there. One day at a time, right?

  1. Krista, I loved your post over at Writers Alley! The part about one judge complimenting something while another one says it needs work rang true for me. It's nice to have an odd number of judges so you can go with the "majority rules" mantra if all else fails.

And I'm thinking of and praying for you and baby Annabelle. My feet (and entire legs, really) decided to blow up in the past couple weeks too, so I'm keeping my feet up right along with you (as much as we can with other kiddos at home, right?). 🙂

  2. Krista, your Genesis scores may not have been what you'd hoped for, but you're a Touched By Love finalist!! I grin every time I think of that.

Thanks for sharing the update on your amazing Annabelle. She's one strong little girl because she's going right on growing and preparing to join your family in spite of the challenges.

I hope the final ten weeks of the pregnancy aren't too tough for you. Being big during the summer can be rather unpleasant. How do you pamper yourself during your last trimester when your body is stretched to its limits, your back aching, and your feet swelling? In other words, what is your Pamper-me Plan?

  3. Congrats on being one of the TBL finalists:) One day at a time, that's all any of us should do.
    Blessings,
    Karen

  4. Hi Krista –

Popping over to Writers Alley. 🙂

    Blessings,
    Susan

  5. Krista, I will pray for your sweet baby girl, and congrats for your successful contest entry! That's fantastic!

    God bless you this weekend.

  6. I'm going over to check out your post at Writer's Alley. Thank you for the sweet baby update. Praying for you both:)
