kristaphillips Just got home from the Specialist and our news isn’t great.
Baby Phillips’ heart is smaller on one side than the other, and there is some kind of gap in something (I don’t completely understand…) that they’ll need to fix.
So, baby will need to have surgery on her baby girl heart shortly after she’s born, when depends on how baby is when she is born. It could be right away, a few days, or a week or so. We also have to run tests in a few weeks to make sure it isn’t due to any chromosome abnormalities.
Needless to say, I’m reeling today and am not processing well. The thought of my little love having to go through that is just unthinkable.
Anyway, I meet with the pediatric cardiologist as soon as they can squeeze me into the schedule (they were booked until June but obviously want to see me sooner.)

I'm with Andrea and am storming the heavens! My sister had a similar thing happen. It was not the heart, but an organ in her stomach. Prayers went out and when they went back for follow up, God provided a miracle. There was nothing wrong. I am praying for miracles to rain down on your little one, Krista. May God hold you and your family in the palm of His capable hands and may you find peace. AMEN!

I know the reeling feeling where all you can do is hold tight to Jesus' hand as you walk the bumpy road ahead. He's promised to never leave you. And, while it's hard to imagine, He cares about baby's heart even more than you do. She's in good hands … and so are you.
