Annabelle Update

No baby yet. Sorry!

BUT!!! Please pray for me. I had a REALLY rough night with her. I got almost no sleep, contractions on and off, and other stuff (too yucky to mention in public) that concerns me (not that she’s in trouble, but that labor could be much sooner than next Monday), so I’m calling doctor this a.m.

And can I just say? I AM NOT READY!!!! I have a billion things left on my to-do list at work, my house is not the cleanest, we are getting new carpet this weekend (yes, yes, I Know, priorities, but our existing stuff is shot and given her condition, I wanted to bring her home to the cleanest house I can!) On top of that, my WONDERFUL in-laws are scheduled to come on Saturday from NC so they can be here to help with our older kiddos. So baby REALLY needs to hold off until then!! They’ve offered to come early, but that is interrupting their plans and schedules and I hate to ask that of them!

Bright note: I had a dr appt yesterday and an ultrasound. Everything there went fine (although I started hurting right after, not sure if the 2 are related!) Baby Annabelle is now, they approximate, 8 pounds!! So she’s definitely BIG enough to come! She’s also doing REALLY good at her pretend breathing inside, which means her lungs are probably good and fully developed. OH! And they gave me a VERY cool picture of her in 3D.

I’ll post it sometime, I promise. It would just mean me fiddling with the scanner right now and really, I don’t have time or energy. Hmmm, sounds like a job for hubby! So, check back later today and you might have a VERY good view of my little love:-)

So, that’s it for updates and prayer requests. Really, I’m fine if she comes early. Just getting a bit more nervous/scared than I usually am, I guess. (Just a minute… nuther contraction… okay better!)

Praying for you and baby Annabelle! That she holds off a little while longer, that God wraps you and your hubby in a peace that surpasses understanding, that Anabelle would be strong, and the doctors wise and sure-handed (if that's a word??).

    Dear Lord,

You are the Giver of Life. Thank you for this miracle growing inside Krista. Release Krista from this anxiety and fill her with Your Peace as only You can. Help her to remember everything happens in Your timing and not a second before. If Krista goes into early labor, please put people in her path to help her out. I pray for a successful delivery and Annabelle's delivery will be a testament to Your Goodness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Krista, I can't imagine how unsettled you feel. Praying that you handle whatever happens with supernatural grace and peace.

Oh, and I had one of those 3D ultrasounds too…so amazing!

    Contractions? Sheesh. You wimp. 😉

(Attention ladies about to jump all over me…I'm just kidding.)

Won't be long now. Just think of all the time you'll have to write while you're recovering in the hospital. 🙂

    Prayin' for you. 🙂

I will pray for you and little Annabelle (LOVE her name by the way)

May God deliver your precious bundle in His perfect timing.

May He give you peace as you wait, wait, wait, then a smooth, by-the-books delivery.

With you on this one, girl.

Does anyone know any news on Krista? I have been praying HARD!

I got a text (I'm assuming from Scott) a little after midnight that said that Annabelle was born at 11:18 p.m. and that she was having a hard time breathing, but they wouldn't know anything until this morning. I've been checking the blog and my texts constantly, but I haven't heard anything else yet.

Valerie, thank you so much for the update!!!! I've been worried and it is good to hear some news. I know everyone will be lifting Annabelle up in prayer. Keep us updated. Thanks!

Talked to Krista yesterday… She's doing the best she can at the main Vandy hospital while Annabelle is in the NICU at Children's. (It's a ten minute wheelchair ride away.) They're taking good care of Annabelle, but Krista is missing the normal post-baby cuddling. As of yesterday at this time, she hadn't gotten to hold her yet. Annabelle is hooked up to different tubes and such, but the heart issue is exactly what they thought it was in utero. It's no better, but it's no worse either. Annabelle's first surgery should be Friday or Monday. Krista and Scott are at the hospital with no computer, by the way, so info coming out will probably be sporadic.

Oh, I'll be praying for you for sure. I think you could just skip the new carpets. Couldn't you just have the old ones steam-cleaned? Maybe already too late for that? God will be with you no matter what! He will take care of you. In fact, I'm going to go pray for you right now.
