Annabelle surgery update- kinda

Well, we gave Annabelle a ton of kisses at about 3:00 and watched them wheel my little love into the OR.

They said they’d give us an update in 45 minutes.

An hour and a half later, the nurse came into the waiting room, and my heart about dropped. However, her news was that the surgery was a no-go. An emergency had come up and while the doctor was about done, he felt it too late to start the surgery.

Unfortunately, they’d already started her tubes and I’m pretty sure had already started to put her to sleep (I assume they do that before they put in her tubes!!!)

Anyway, we are waiting for her to get settled back into a room, in the PCCU this time instead of the NICU, then we can go see her. Her surgery will probably be early next week, but we are waiting confirmation on the date/time.

Still pray for my Annabelle, pray for hubby, myself, my kids, and our whole family. It’s just very stressful and I for one, have nerves that are pretty much null.

I've missed all of your baby updates, so I just got caught up now. It sounds this is an extremely stressful time for you. I'll pray for Annabelle too. I'm pregnant with my 4th now too, and there have been some complications with this one, so I know how stressful it can be. Take care of yourself and your sweet family.

Krista, I'm so sorry you got emotionally prepared for the surgery only to have it postponed. The nice thing is that the surgeon didn't want to operate when s/he was tired. The not-so-nice thing is that you have to wait some more. However, I firmly believe the Lord knows what's best for your darling daughter and that the extra days pre-op will prove to be a godsend.

Cyber (((hugs))) to you–and continued prayers.

    HI Krista,
I will be praying for you, your family and Annabelle. What a challenge! May God comfort you with memories of all the times He has shown His love and faithfulness to you and your family. Psalm 139 has been a great comfort to me as a mom when my kids are going through frightening circumstances. He promises to go with us no matter where we go. He also promises to lead us and hold us close. That's my prayer for you all today.
    Blessings,
    Carrie

We're praying for all of you. Thank you for keeping us updated. I know that has to be pretty far down the list of your priorities, but we love hearing from you and knowing how best to pray.

    Hi Krista,
I came over from The Writers Alley blog. Annabelle is a beautifully gorgeous baby! I am so excited for you guys.

However, I am keeping you, baby Annabelle, and the rest of your family in my thoughts. This is an extremely tough time, as I realize. I'm hoping that you will feel all of the love and support reaching out to you from all over the U.S. (and maybe even the world, not sure where everyone's from!). We are here supporting you and caring for you too.

I hope this wasn't too forward of a comment when we've never talked I don't think. However, I don't think that it should matter when we're talking about caring and compassion.

I'm signing up to be a follower! However, I won't be around until like August 4 because I'm leaving for London tomorrow.

Good luck with Annabelle, can't wait to here how everything's going with her when I return!!
    Hannah
